Welcome to Stratford Central Grade 7/8 Division

Welcome to Stratford Central Grade 7/8 Division!

Central is a school with a great feel and vibe! It is strong in Academic, Arts, and Athletics…..the Triple ‘A’ School. With students beginning in grade 7, they have the opportunity to create a long comfortable journey at all academics levels to obtain their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) while having a variety of opportunities along the way. Students in grade 7 and 8 experience the feel of being in the high school setting yet maintain the elementary sense by having a core class to which they belong and then rotate to each subjects with this core group of students every day of the school year. The staff work together to continue the growth of the varied skills students will need to be successful in the future. Many activities are sponsored by the Student Council to help build school spirit. This spirit is also generated through participation in the bands, sports teams, clubs, trips/excursions and the musical.

Stratford Central also has students who continue in the French Immersion Program when they come from the 2 feeder schools.

The School Council has a good number of parents who come out to share and receive information. There is a focus of sharing information at our meetings so parents become more informed in academics, and the social world our students are experiencing each and every day.

There are approx. 300 students gr. 7 and 8 and approx. 800 in gr. 9 to 12 and with approx. 80 staff, this gives Stratford Central the active pulse it has in the school and our community.

Central is a ‘Next Generation Learning School. Students in gr. 7 and 8 will receive ipads in late October to assist in their growth as a student.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact the school and we will reply or set up a time to address your ideas or concerns.

Go Rams! Go!
