Welcome to Stratford Central Public School

Welcome to Stratford Central Public School, a full service senior elementary school, located on the campus of Stratford Central Secondary School in downtown Stratford Ontario. Stratford Central Public School is a unique educational setting that continues the high academic standards and traditions of the schools that preceded it, but also capitalizes on the advantages that a more substantial setting can provide.

At Stratford Central, we continue to dedicate our energies toward increasing literacy and numeracy skills for every student but at the same time, we realize that preparing students for successful futures involves much more than ensuring that every student can read, write and perform well in mathematics. As a result, Stratford Central maintains a robust extracurricular program and fully supports excellence in all areas of school life. We also strive to foster qualities of good citizenship such as honesty, responsibility, caring and trust.

In order to achieve these objectives in both our Core and French Immersion Programs, we provide challenging and relevant learning experiences for our students, a positive learning environment and ongoing student assessment so that supports can be provided, when necessary, in order to ensure success for every student. Of course, student success not only involves the school and the student, but also the home. Consequently, we communicate regularly with home through such things as student agendas and teacher web sites, to ensure that families can support and encourage students at home as well as at school.
